Know what to expect.
FuseRift is an Experimental Early Alpha. A little clarity before setup makes it easier to explore.
Compatibility is specific
Fusions work with specific game combinations, editions and versions. Testing grows incrementally as more versions and hardware are tried. Experimental does not mean guaranteed compatibility.
The exact tested version lists are awaiting confirmation. Check the launcher’s compatibility result and each Fusion’s requirements before setup.
Understand the changes
A Fusion may need to make changes to the games it combines. The setup flow guides you through that crossover. Do not assume every original game is always untouched.
Backups and setup records
FuseRift uses backups and records of its changes, sometimes called receipts, where required by the package. Keep any backups and setup records the launcher creates; they may be needed to repair or restore a supported Fusion.
Repair and Restore Original
Supported packages provide Repair and Restore Original. These work on FuseRift-managed changes and preserve unrelated files wherever designed. The exact behaviour depends on the Fusion; these features are not a guarantee that every possible change can be reversed.
Keep your own copies of important saves and personal modifications. Review the instructions for your chosen Fusion before changing its setup.
If something unexpected happens
Stop the affected setup or session and note the Fusion, game versions and what happened. Avoid deleting backups or repeatedly changing files while investigating.
Report a BugStart with the right information
Each Fusion page explains the experience, requirements and current compatibility information in plain language.
